Remembrance Day, Platzl Light Up, Comedy, Monobillie Boogie, and more
The worst part about publishing a weekly newsletter is how it accelerates time.
I can’t believe we’re almost halfway through November already. Tuesday is Remembrance Day, a chance to pause and honour those who served and sacrificed so we can live the life we have. Then later this week, the Christmas lights in the Platzl will be turned on, and everyone will be shopping late into the night on Saturday.
We’re also barely a month away from the first days of skiing and snowboarding.
I’m not saying I don’t like winter - there’s lots of fun things we can do in the winter, especially here in Kimberley where we’re pretty spoiled. But it feels like someone pressed fast-forward on the VCR and won’t let up.
Anyone else feeling that time warp?
It always surprises me how many things are happening in our small town (or city, I guess I should say). It’s reflective of the types of individuals, groups, and businesses here in Kimberley that are all trying to make it an awesome place to live. Whether you’ve been here since the mining days, moved here with your family, or ditched your tech office in the big city, you can find something for everyone. But if you can’t, let me know what you think Kimberley is missing and maybe I can help bring those events to life.
